🎶 This Saturday, June 6! Music in the Park 2026 is back! 🎶

Join us at Iditapark in Wasilla for the FREE Music in the Park 2026 Concert Series — happening from 3 to 9 PM!

Bring the family, grab some food, check out the vendors, enjoy the beer garden, and hang out for a full day of live music in the park. Plus, there are plenty of covered seating areas, so come rain or shine!

The City of Wasilla would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Wasilla Clean-Up Days held May 4th–9th! Because of the incredible support from our community, volunteers collected an amazing amount of trash throughout our parks, trails, streets, and public spaces. 👏🧹
A special thank you to our community partners:
🚂 Alaska Railroad for generously donating two round-trip tickets from Anchorage to Denali for our grand prize drawing, along with a beautiful Alaska Railroad art print.
🗑️ Matanuska-Susitna Borough for providing two large dumpsters to help support this community effort.

Help keep Wasilla beautiful! Join the City of Wasilla for our Annual Community Clean-Up Days May 4–9, 2026. Gather your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers and make a difference in our community!

🟡 FREE ALPAR BAGS
Pick up one bundle of 5 FREE yellow ALPAR bags April 27 – May 9 at:
• Wasilla City Hall
• Menard Sports Center
• Wasilla Museum
⏰ Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

🧤 CLEAN UP
Help clean City streets, parks, and public lands May 4–9.
Please bring your own gloves, safety gear, and remember to secure your load during transport.

🗑 DROP OFF DAY
📍 Iditapark Parking Lot (next to the basketball courts by Nelson Avenue)

⏰ 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

⚠️ This program is for roadside and public area clean-up only — NO household garbage, appliances, hazardous waste, tires, furniture, or car parts allowed.

🌲❄️ Tree Lighting Ceremony Canceled

Due to the high wind warning and deteriorating weather conditions, the City of Wasilla’s Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for today has been canceled.

The safety of our community, staff, and volunteers is our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and will share updates if the event is rescheduled.

Please stay safe and take precautions during the high winds this weekend.
