CAPACITY CAMPAIGN: August was a big month at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank! Our new Cedar Valley Food Pantry, located right here at the Food Bank, officially opened its doors as work continues on our building expansion and renovation.

We’re also grateful to our partners at the Waterloo Convention Center and Crystal Cold for providing space that has allowed us to prepare meals and store food throughout construction. Their support has helped us continue serving northeast Iowa while our facility is transformed.

There’s still more to come! Work continues on our new volunteer space, cooler and freezer, clean room, and kitchen, bringing us closer to completing a facility designed to help us provide more food to more people.

Every Meal. Every Day. Everyone.

Please join the NEIFB team at Checker's Stone Soul Picnic on Sunday, September 13th at Overman Park in Cedar Falls. Enjoy great food, children’s activities, and live entertainment from many local bands. All proceeds go to the children's programs at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank!

We are counting down the days until September 13 and the 2026 edition of Checker's Stone Soul Picnic. The details are in previous posts, and we still have other goodies to announce. Grab your lawn chairs and coolers. Bring a water bottle. Oh, don't forget some cash donations for the children's programs at the NE Iowa Food Bank. The event is free, but we count on your good will. The goal is to have some fun and raise money for a wonderful cause.
