Radnor Township brings the hype for USA Soccer!!! Best small town in America….USA, USA, USA 🇺🇸

06/18/2026

It’s been six weeks since Radnor Township partnered with Main Line Mural Arts to bring a piece of history to life!

Local artist Dan Scott Forreal is hard at work installing a beautiful mural right in the heart of Wayne.

Thanks to the generous support of the Lau Longsworth Charitable Fund, this is the first public art piece of this scale in our town. It serves as the crown jewel of our community’s celebration, mapping our rich history from our pastoral roots to today's vibrant Wayne skyline!

Stay tuned for the big reveal by July 4, weather permitting! 🎨✨

All ages are welcome for the ultimate outdoor World Cup fan experience! Radnor Township is bringing the stadium experience straight to N. Wayne Avenue, TOMORROW, Friday, June 19, at 3pm, for the USA v AUS match.

"We are thrilled to bring our community together for this historic USA Watch Party, marking a milestone celebration for both our team and the America250 anniversary," said William M. White, Radnor Township Manager. "This double celebration is a proud moment to honor our nation’s history, support our local businesses, and showcase the vibrant spirit of our township."

This tented, community viewing experience will be held in the center of Downtown Wayne (N. Wayne Parking Lot, 121 N. Wayne Ave.) with easy access to local dining and shopping options. The free event is rain or shine and will be held under a 40x60 foot tent decorated in an America250 theme for the enjoyment of event attendees. Three 75-foot LED TVs will livestream the game courtesy of event sponsor, Main Line TV & Sound. We encourage all fans to wear red, white and blue to cheer on USA Soccer!

“We hope the World Cup experience today extends far beyond the match,” said Economic Development Manager, Sam Woods Thomas. “Arrive before and stay after to grab a meal at a neighborhood restaurant or discover Wayne for the first time. We want every interaction in Radnor this Friday to become part of a positive World Cup experience for our residents and visitors.”

World Cup soccer fans are welcome any time after 2pm to grab a spot under the tent. Port o Potty's will be available onsite for the convenience of event guests. While parking in Radnor Township will be FREE all day, West Avenue Parking Lot (57 West Ave.) and South Wayne Avenue Parking Lot (120 S. Wayne Ave.) are the recommended parking locations for the event.

This is a family-friendly event, and no BYO is allowed in the tent. We encourage event guests to enjoy the restaurants and bars in Radnor Township before and after the match to support local businesses! The tent will close promptly at 5:15pm to encourage guests to move the celebrations into our local establishments for a fun, Friday night in Downtown Wayne!
