Radnor Township has joined to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary this year🎉 We will mark this once-in-a-generation milestone that honors the founding of our nation with exciting events, activities, and installations right here in Radnor Township.

As summer approaches, we will tell you how to participate in America250 on a local level, but for now please mark your calendars for Thursday, July 2 – we are kicking off July 4th weekend with a free firework show for our community to be held at Radnor High School. Event details coming soon!

Have you noticed a flurry of artistic activity at 118 E. Lancaster Avenue? Thanks to the generous support for public arts from the Lau Longsworth Charitable Fund, the Township partnered with Main Line Mural Arts to get creative and install a public mural honoring America250 – the first of its kind in Radnor Township!

Once completed, this mural will include iconic and historic Radnor Township symbols and sites that tell the story of our town’s pastural origins, to the advent of the railroad, thru today’s suburban expansion all in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Dan Scott Forreal, a local-based painter and musician whose work includes murals in Berwyn and various projects honoring local history, has been awarded the project. Stay tuned as we bring you interviews with the artist, conversations with the Radnor commissioners who are spearheading community public arts as well as America250 initiatives!
