We recently had the opportunity to visit with local resident Jason Lewis, who stopped by to share his important mission to help put an end to bullying; as seen here with WFD Lieutenant.

Bullying can have a devastating impact on children and young people. Far too many struggle with feeling alone, different, or like they don’t belong. That’s why messages of kindness, acceptance, and self-worth are so important.

Jason shared a few simple words that carry such a powerful message:

“If we only knew our own beauty…”

Imagine the difference we could make if we all truly believed that. The things that make us different are not things we need to hide, they are part of what makes each of us unique and beautiful.

Thank you, Jason, for stopping by and sharing your mission with us. May we all do our part to choose kindness, embrace our differences, and remind others of their worth.

Be kind. Be proud of who you are. And always remember; what makes you different makes you beautiful.

Many people call up to the fire department wanting to dispose of old gas cans, fire extinguishers, old oil, etc. this is your chance to recycle all of that this weekend!!!

This Saturday, safely get rid of your unwanted household chemicals and recycle old electronics at Wayne County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection.

WOW... what an AMAZING day! We are truly blown away by the incredible support from our community!

Last year, we wrapped up the event with extra t-shirts, knowing we hadn't quite reached our goal of serving 250 children. This year? You all showed up in a BIG way! Our attendance more than doubled, allowing us to connect with more families than we ever imagined.

Yes, it may have felt like we "ran out of everything" - but to us, that's a sign of success! It means we reached more children, served more families, and made an even greater impact in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer, vendor, sponsor, city department, community partner, and everyone who attended.
Your generosity and support made this event an overwhelming success.
We couldn't have done it without you!

We're already looking ahead to 2027! Our team is excited to take everything we've learned over the past two years and make next year's event even BIGGER, BETTER, and more impactful for the families we serve. Thank you, Wayne! ❤️
