West Chazy Vol. Fire Department The West Chazy Fire Department was formed on May 24th 1949 by Lewis G Robinson. Robinson.

Lewis G Robinson spent his life trying to improve his beloved West Chazy in every possible way. He always was ready with his moral and financial support of every local enterprise. Areas such as sport teams, fraternal and social organizations and all the churches of the village received some type of support from Mr. Down through the years, he befriended and encouraged the Boy Scouts, the 4H Club an

d the Little League teams of the village and he many times spoke about the need of a sports field and meeting place for these and other local groups. Above all else, it was well known that the West Chazy Fire Department held first place in his heart from its very inception in 1932.

8/24/26 9:45 am Fire Departments are on scene of a Traffic incident on Route 22 near Greta Howe Lane in Beekmantown. NYSEG is repairing power lines with an estimation restore time of 12:30. Traffic is being diverted around the affected area via Ashley Road and Durand Road

Our last bottle drive is here! The Auxiliary uses the funds to pay for our community activities(annual egg hunt, trunk or treat, Christmas families, scholarships, school vacation food, ect.) and to help the firefighters if needed. Excellent example why we can’t preach enough to stay low. If there's smoke, escape by staying low to the ground. If you must exit through smoke, you will find the cleanest air several inches off the floor. Get down on your hands and knees and crawl to the nearest safe exit. Well done Trooper!

Pumper/Tanker 332 is out to Har-Rob Fire Apparatus in Syracuse getting her nails done and necessary safety upgrades. She will be back home in a few weeks with some planned maintenance and all glammed up, continuing to serve the community.
