Family vacation to London. And I can’t help but visit The British Library.
Beautiful, grand and spacious. Made as a public space. Made to inspire. Made to curate. Made to preserve.
Also visited the Treasures of the British Library exhibition, which houses original treasured books and manuscripts - the Magna Carta, Beowulf, Mughal miniature painted manuscript…a treat to the eyes and joy to the heart.
Many of the fundamentals that The Burrow Library is based on reaffirmed and re-energised.
We’re small but will be significant - that’s the promise.
And then the browsing and buying 🙂… The British Library (like the NY Public Library) has a small store attached, with a carefully selected set of books and collectibles. (More in August on how that is inspiring The Burrow Library). For now, it just served as gift buying for the family - all graphic novels, selected to suit the interests of my 3 special people.
