I wrote a guest blog recently on the Indiaspora website - https://indiaspora.org/stories-that-stay-why-reading-indian-books-matters-for-our-children/. The blog was written to describe the slowly building and evolving ecosystem of children’s books in India.
The carousel above has some of the key points written in the blog post.
While the specific website post was written for children of the Indian diaspora largely, a lot of what was written there is true more universally.
At their core, the books I’m talking about are just good books.
Written for children. Written by Indian authors.
They are set in India, but really, they are just showcasing good stories written for children.
