West Liberty University Begins Fall Semester with Strong Enrollment and New Programs
West Liberty University began the fall 2026 semester Monday, Aug. 24, welcoming more than 550 new students and launching initiatives focused on experiential learning, career preparation and community engagement.
Among the programs beginning this fall is Hilltopper Pathways: Out of School Reentry and Support Program, funded by a $249,397 Momentum Initiative Grant from the West Virginia First Foundation.
WLU also will introduce the Professional Passport Program, a four-year personalized planning process designed to prepare students for careers and graduate study.
New academic offerings include the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, a Flex Track option for the Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Applied Science major. The undergraduate cybersecurity program is available fully online this fall.
