It is with great excitement that we announce the launch of NobleLink, a transportation program of the Westfield Council on Aging.

Please call 413-642-9344 to find out how to book your ride!

Over the past three years, we have been working behind the scenes to bring this program to life. What started as an idea several years ago, was drafted into a formal grant proposal to partner with PVTA, in which we provide services to Westfield’s older adults beyond the ADA requirements in federal regulations.

With contract executed we began to put together the staff; first we hired Elena as our Transportation Coordinator. She continued to develop some of the policies and procedures while we awaited the delivery of our van.

Next we brought on George as our first driver. He recently attended some trainings to meet grant obligations as well as state training requirements for COA staff.

Today, we picked up our van from the Westfield Sign Shop, and were able to bring our first passenger home from the center (featured in the photo below with her service animal).

While we recognize this is a long way from the full vision of meeting transportation needs of our older adults, we are ecstatic to have made it to this point and are readying to bring on our second part time driver soon! After that we will look to secure a second van, and let the rubber literally meet the road!

Special thanks to Mayor McCabe and all the members of City Council who saw the vision and understood the mission of this program from the beginning.

We would also like to shout out all the City departments (legal, procurement, auditing, and personnel to name some) that have worked to make this possible. It was not a solo project, and truly required the support of each person/department.

Bonn voyage!

We extend our gratitude to Mayor McCabe and the Westfield City Council for their support in authorizing a lease agreement with PVTA for a 2025 passenger van. This approval brings us significantly closer to launching our own transportation program under the Westfield Council on Aging.

Further details will be forthcoming in the very near future.

Congratulations to Dr. Anna Collier, the newest member of the Occupational Therapist Doctors out of Western New England University.

Dr. Collier received her degree today. She completed her final capstone with us over 15 weeks from the beginning of the year. As part of that Dr. Collier provided us with new programming, research opportunities, educational seminars, and a more holistic view of how we can serve our seniors. We are grateful for the time and we wish you the best of luck in your future career!

🚨 Scam Alert: Fraudulent RMV Text Messages 🚨

The Westfield Police Department has received multiple reports over the past two days of residents receiving fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV).

These messages state that you have unpaid traffic citations and include a link to make a payment, often threatening license suspension if the issue is not resolved immediately.

⚠️ This is a scam.
We saw similar activity around this time last year.

The RMV does NOT send text messages requesting payment for citations.

🔒 Protect Yourself:
Do not click on links in unsolicited texts or emails
Do not provide personal or financial information
If unsure, independently look up official RMV contact information and verify directly

📢 Please share this post to help protect friends, family, and neighbors from falling victim.
