Chief Medina attended the Eagle Scout ceremony celebrating Wethersfield resident Ryan Ribeiro—a special invitation extended by Ryan and his mom, who specifically asked the Chief to join them for this important milestone.
At just 16 years old, Ryan has earned the rank of Eagle Scout through an incredible combination of dedication, leadership, service, and perseverance. From earning badges at Scout camp and participating in Flags Over Wethersfield, to organizing more than 30 volunteers for his Eagle Scout project at the 4-H camp in Hebron, Ryan has consistently shown what it means to give his time and effort to his community.
He’s also a student-athlete, balancing honors and AP courses, Wethersfield High School baseball, and his passion for golf as a member of the varsity team.
Chief Medina was grateful for the opportunity to recognize Ryan and share a few words about his accomplishments and the qualities that make him an outstanding young member of our community.
"At sixteen, you have already shown something that cannot be taught easily: when you care about something, you give it your very best. My advice to you is simple: never lose that. Whether it is golf, your education, your career, your family, or serving your community, continue to bring that same effort, determination, and character to everything you do."
