We're excited to collab with SUNY - The State University of New York to accelerate solar and energy storage across their 29 state-operated campuses.

By leveraging NYPA's expertise, SUNY will streamline clean energy projects and strengthen the energy independence of SUNY campuses. With 177 projects already delivered in collaboration with SUNY, we're ready to scale up and show how large institutions can lead on clean energy.

This is how we build a more affordable, reliable, and clean energy future for New York.

The Western New York Clean Energy Experience Center at Northland Workforce Training Center is now open, and it's a direct result of NYPA's commitment to building the clean energy workforce Western New York needs.

For over a decade, we've invested in Northland to create real career pathways in advanced manufacturing, energy, and clean tech. From hands-on labs to wraparound support, this is what workforce development looks like when we show up for our communities.

The future is being built right here.

NYPA's refreshed 2026-2030 Sustainability Plan reinforces our commitment to balancing environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic responsibility. The plan establishes a clear roadmap for advancing New York State's clean energy transition and scaling sustainable practices across the state.

Built on VISION2030 Renewed, a cornerstone of our strategy, this plan demonstrates how sustainability is embedded into everything we do: our planning, our processes, our decision-making. It also showcases the key initiatives we're driving with customers, communities, and suppliers.

Utility bills are too high and families need relief.

That’s why I expanded New York’s Energy Affordability Program so millions more households can qualify for discounts on their bills.

An estimated 2.5 million more households may now be eligible to save up to a few hundred dollars a year.

See if you qualify: NY.gov/EAP

This , we're celebrating German and Briana Cabral, a father-daughter duo, proving that it's never too late to learn something new, and that working together toward your dreams? That's a true blessing.

German came to PowerUp (United Way of Long Island's game-changing training program we're proud to support) already helping his daughter with plumbing, electrical work, and mechanics. But Briana saw something bigger: a stepping stone to start her own company. Now they're training side by side.

"This achievement means the world to me," Briana says. And German? He's just amazed at what they're building together.

Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up, clean energy careers are waiting. The measure of success is seeing people light up when they realize their future is possible.

This week, we're celebrating the builders who help power NY.

National Construction Appreciation Week is our chance to say thank you to NYPA's construction teams—the skilled workers and engineers who show up every day to build and maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps New York running.

They work in all conditions, solve complex challenges, and take pride in their work. They're our neighbors, our colleagues, our community members, and they deserve recognition for the vital work they do.

To every NYPA constructor out there: Thank you. Your work matters. 🙌
