Traffic Pattern Change Notice

Please be advised that the traffic pattern at the intersection of NW 6th Street and NW 1st Avenue has changed.

Effective immediately, this intersection is now a four-way stop instead of a two-way stop.

Please use extra caution, come to a complete stop, and watch for other vehicles and pedestrians as everyone adjusts to the new traffic pattern.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Stilettos on Steel Lady Rider Group to Williston Fire Rescue today as they completed this month’s group challenge.

Their mission was to photograph a first responder in uniform, preferably with their emergency vehicle, while also incorporating an American flag into the picture. We were honored they chose to stop by and include our crew in their challenge.

As always, Firefighter Shane Bateman knows no stranger and likes motorcycles himself so he was a perfect fit to lead the visit.

In true Williston Mafia fashion, the Williston Fire Department put on a clinic at the Wawa Grand Opening Hoagie-Making Contest, taking down the Williston, Florida Police Department from start to finish.

Led and trained by Captain Kenny Maddox, WFR came out strong and never looked back. Even when the mayor tried to step in and rally Team WPD, the firefighters refused to give up the lead. The words most would use would be PURE DOMINATION.

Best of all, the victory earned a $1,000 donation for the Williston Elementary School Safety Patrol—proving everyone in the community was a winner.

Congratulations to team WFR on the win and to the Williston Elementary Safety Patrol on receiving this well-deserved donation!

“Levy from Truck 72, all 23 ducks are safe and secure, all units clear and available.”

The rescued ducks were reunited with the others and assisted across the road.

And then all the incoming text messages started.
