Chicken BBQ at the VFW. All are welcome. It is easy to access and there will be plenty of good people, old friends, neighbors and best of all ….. veterans.

Coming from Wurtsboro, go past O’Toole’s Harley Davidson on the left and as you climb the mountain look for the sign and turn left onto VFW Road.

Coming from Bloomingburg as you come down the mountain, just before the bad curve, slow down and turn right onto VFW Road by the chicken BBQ sign.

C’mon up… or down.

On July 4th 2026 the American Legion Post 1266 hosted a free community breakfast celebrating the 250th. Complete with revolutionary era soldiers, native Americans, town cryer and a 1776 foot trail walk led by expert trail guide Kerron Barnes. The event was well attended and considered a success!!
