The Yerington Police Department enjoyed a successful appearance at Kids Day in Park on Friday, where a popular attraction was the dunk tank featuring a police officer, which drew a consistently long line throughout the event.

YPD is having a gun raffle to support our K9 division. Tickets are available at Dark Horse Guns & Ammo, Yerington Police Department. We will also have a booth at the Dini’s Lucky Club Car Show on June 20, 2026 and the Yerington 4th of July event on Main Street where we will have raffle tickets available to purchase.

Yerington Police Department will be joining forces with participating law enforcement agencies in Nevada for a Joining Forces Click It or Ticket Campaign. The campaign will take place from May 13 – May 31, 2026.

This Click It or Ticket Campaign aims to increase law enforcement participation by coordinating highly visible patrols across the State of Nevada with the goal of keeping motorists safe by educating the motoring public about the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt. Click It or Ticket isn't about citations — law enforcement issue tickets to save lives and prevent serious
injuries.

We have been informed of a recent scam involving texts or emails claiming to be from The Justice Court of the County of Clark, requesting payment. The court confirms this is a scam as they do not send payment requests via text or email. If received, such messages should be deleted and not responded to.

Come to the Yerington Raley’s today from 10am to 2pm to drop off unused or expired prescription medications. If you miss this event you can drop off the unused or expired prescription drugs at the Yerington Police Department year round during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.
