This Fourth of July, we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States—a remarkable milestone shaped by generations of Americans who chose to lead, to serve, and to make a difference.

For more than a century, Scouting has played a role in that story—helping develop leaders of character who strengthen our nation. In communities across America, Scouts have lived the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law—serving others in times of need, leading with integrity, and contributing millions of hours of service each year. From disaster response to conservation and community improvement, Scouting’s service to the nation is both enduring and deeply felt.

At its core, Scouting prepares young people not just for challenges, but for lives of purpose. It gets them outdoors, off screens and builds resilience, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to helping others. That mission remains as important today as ever, as we invest in the next generation of leaders who will shape America’s future.
