📖✨Book Recommendation Wednesday✨📖
Kensington Library Book Recommendation Wednesday has another six book recommendations and this time it’s for the tweens!😁
Visit the library to get your hands on one of these fiction titles:

🔖 “Wild” by Ele Fountain is a riveting rainforest adventure about a family and how they deal with grief. Jack lost his dad and since then he keeps doing crazy things and getting in trouble. His mother grows more concerend and eventually suggests a surprise trip together. However, what’s to come is not a relaxing holiday.
🔖 “Saving Neverland” by Abi Elphinstone follows Martha and her younger brother Scruff as they travel to Neverland to help Peter Pan break a freezing curse cast by Captain Hook.
🔖 “Mr. Lemoncello’s Very First Game” by Chris Grabenstein follows Luigi Lemoncello who works for Professor Marvelmous at a carnival. But when the carnival leaves and Luigi doesn’t follow them he finds a mysterious puzzle box left behind by Professor Marvelmous.
🔖 “Peril on the Atlantic” by A.M. Howell is about the perfect mystery adventure. Follow Alice as she uncovers a dark mystery whilst on the RMS Queen Mary. How will she and her new friend, Sonny stop more bad things from happening.
🔖 “The World’s Worst Pets” by David Walliams is perfect if you want to laugh from start to end. The book features ten short stories about the most crazy and gigantic animals out there.
🔖 “Herriot the Caretaker Mouse” by Stella Tarakson is book one of the fun Magical Animal Cafe series, Ellie and her mum are opening a cat café. But there’s a catch, they’re sharing their home with the Andersons, that’s when Ellie and Blake discover a magical old phone and a mouse determined to get rid of them, and more.

📚💖Women's Day Book Event💖📚

This morning at Kensington Library we celebrated Women's Day by hosting 3 out of the 11 co-authors of the anthology Echoes of Love: Where Love Once Lived, Courage Now Speaks.💐

The morning was filled with words of encouragement, lots of laughter, and a dose of reality well-intended! The authors namely Lezelle Scholtz, Rhonda Savage-Julie, and Ruth Carol Wyngaart shared their journeys with writing, healing, empowerment and how they became more than just widows.✨️

We would like to thank the authors and all the ladies who joined us this morning. We are grateful and appreciate all the support of our patrons and community members!😊

📖✨Book Recommendation Wednesday📖✨
It’s another Wednesday and we’re back with another six book recommendations for adults. 😁
Visit Kensington Library to get your hands on one of these fiction titles:
✅“Keur 10: Plek van die bittermaan | Kamer van die stormwind” by Helene De K**k consists of two heartwarming stories sure to get you in the feel of love.
✅“Three Echoes” by Marina Auer is a fast paced, tension filled South African novel set in Durban follows Dr Sara Buhle, an obstetrician, who alongside SAPS star Vuyi Vilakazi are on the search for a missing newborn baby.
✅“Binding 13” by Chloe Walsh is book one of the Boys of Tommen series set in the Ireland and follows Shannon Lynch and Johnny Kavanaugh. They navigate first love while facing their own battles in the form of family trauma, school bullying and a career ending sports injury.
✅“Across The Kala Pani” by Shevlyn Mottai is set in the 1909, this historical novel showcases the lives of four women who board a ship to Madras end up on plantations in Natal, South Africa.
✅“And So I Roar” by Abi Daré follows Adunni and Tia. Aduni is a 14-year-old runaway from her rural Nigerian village, and Tia, is her benefactor in Lagos. Day by day the two of them find their voices, confront family secrets, deal with past trauma and fight to protect other young girls.
✅“Normal Rules Don’t Apply” by Kate Atkinson is a collection of 11 stories that are interconnected. The stories cover a variety of themes like alternate realities, magical realisms and more.
