بتوجيهات ورعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، أصدرت هيئة الشارقة للآثار العدد الأول من مجلة الشارقة للدراسات الأثرية، وهي دورية علمية محكمة تُعنى بنشر البحوث الأصيلة في مجالات الآثار والحضارة والتراث الثقافي المادي في الجزيرة العربية والمناطق المجاورة.
وتأتي المجلة دعمًا لمسيرة البحث العلمي، وإثراءً للمعرفة الأثرية، وتعزيزًا للنشر الأكاديمي وفق أعلى معايير التحكيم العلمي. وتصدر المجلة مرتين سنويًا باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية بنظام الوصول المفتوح، بما يعزز حضور الدراسات الأثرية على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
ويأتي هذا الإصدار كعدد تمهيدي، على أن يضم العدد الثاني بحوثًا علمية مقدمة من الباحثين، تخضع للتحكيم العلمي وفق سياسة النشر المعتمدة في المجلة.

Under the patronage and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Archaeology Authority has published the inaugural issue of the Sharjah Journal of Archaeological Studies, a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original research in archaeology, civilization, and the material cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula and neighbouring regions.
The journal aims to support scholarly research, enrich archaeological knowledge, and promote academic publishing in accordance with the highest standards of scientific peer review. It is published twice a year in both Arabic and English under an open-access policy, strengthening the regional and international presence of archaeological scholarship.
This inaugural issue serves as an introductory edition, while the second issue will feature original research papers submitted by scholars and researchers and evaluated through the journal’s double-blind peer-review process in accordance with its established publication policy.
