Event # 449
31st October 2026

A strong daunting headwind challenged the 109 people ran, jogged and walked the course this week, but did little to topple the parkrun grit and camaraderie we have come to love as part of the event!

31 were first timers to Aldinga Beach, including the following 6 absolute first timers: Stuart Boardman, Tobias Steele, Roxanne and Jim Jonker, Kristy Gerrard and Samantha Barrett. Welcome to the parkrun family and don't be a stranger!

A very warm (pun intended) interstate welcome to visitors from Darwin and local representations from Torrens and Adelaide. We loved having you!

12 trailblazers recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations to Blake Forde, Laurie Gutteridge, Rob Johnson, Benjamin Boyce, Jack Jones, Nicole James, Liam Forde, Callan Marwick, Amity Evans, Lennon Blake, Lauren Blake and Anne Jenkins.

Congratulations to Phillipa Stansell for reaching the 100 milestone club and to Charlie Trewartha and Neekita Kendrick for reaching the 25 milestone club.

Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 13 fantabuluso volunteers who enjoyed a free coffee thanks to Goodness Coffee Co.

Aaron MITCHELL • Dale GRIMMOND • John MARKETIS • Prashanth BALASUBRAMANIAM • Robert EVANS • Philippa STANSELL • Kirsty ATKINSON • Ruth BATTERSBY • Chantelle SHEATHER • Johannes PIKAAR • Cathryn BANNER • Mackenzie HOOPER • Jane ELLERY

Thank you for having me as your RD for what is the last parkrun at the current starting point. From next week (7/11), we will be starting at Snapper Point so bring the noise, cheer and parkrun feel good vibes to this new chapter; and lets create some great PB memories.

In keeping with the ghoulish festivities, a quote to share. Lets creep it real! :)

“Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble.”

Aldinga Beach parkrun
Event number 448
24th October 2026

We enjoyed perfect running conditions today and thankfully missed the thunderstorms that hit early this afternoon. It was so nice for Aldinga being at its best for the 24 participants who attended our course for the first time and for the 10 participants who earnt themselves PBs this week.

Today, 132 people ran, jogged and walked the course. 9 participants chose Aldinga Beach parkrun to enjoy their first official parkrun. It was great to have your company Noah Gregory, Kane Abbott, Seth Hay, Savannah Polvere, Robyn Kelly, Leah Monachan, Anne Jenkins, Diane Laube and Kristen Anderson. We hope this is the start of an ongoing enjoyment of parkrun. 15 more experienced parkrunners ran our course for the first time today. It was lovely to welcome some international, interstate and local tourists to our course. Participants travelled from as far as Ireland, Perth, Townsville, New Castle, Melbourne and Ballarat to be with us today. Thank you for joining us today, Blake Forde, Aaron Folland, Steph Lunn, Holly Steele, Stephen Arnott, Daniel Salmon, Hannah Peet, Alana Dawes, Helen Peet, Skarleht Molina, Patrick McEvoy, Zavier Steele, Ava Folland, Keith Weston and Sebastian Rogers.

10 participants enjoyed achieving personal bests today. Congratulations go out to Benjamin Boyce, Megan Semczuk, Naomi Foglia, Hayley Giggins, Kylie Forde, Stewart Glass, Amity Evans, Heidi Voit, Lauren Woods and Michelle Youltan.
