👏 SCHOOL SUPPORT RECOGNITION WEEK 👏

Sometimes the best way to say thank you is simply to hear it from the students themselves 🗣️

This week, our students have taken the opportunity to say THANK YOU to the incredible support staff who are such an important part of life at Barooga Public School.

From helping students learn, encouraging them when things are tricky, celebrating their successes, providing a listening ear, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when they are needed — our support staff make a difference every single day.

Their care, patience, kindness, flexibility and unwavering commitment help our students feel supported, valued and ready to learn.

And as this clip so beautifully shows, our students notice. 🥰

To our amazing support staff — thank you for everything you do, both the things that are seen and the countless things that happen quietly behind the scenes.

You are an incredibly valued part of our Barooga Public School family.

We appreciate you. We celebrate you. And, most importantly, our student's adore you 💛

💛 Two Great Events Tomorrow! 💛

A little reminder for our Barooga Public School families that tomorrow is a big day!

🥓 Father’s Day Breakfast
Join us from 7.45am–9.00am for a bacon & egg roll, some outdoor games and a chance to spend some special time together at school.

🎁 Father’s Day Stall
Students will also have the opportunity to choose a special Father’s Day gift, with presents ranging from $1–$10. Don’t forget to send along some money if your child would like to make a purchase.

We can’t wait to see our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, carers and special guests tomorrow! 💛

👏 Lions Public Speaking👏

On Sunday, Kit continued to represent Barooga Public School with pride at the regional Lions Public Speaking Competition in Yarrawonga. Her competition came from as far afield as Lockington, Cohuna and Yackandandah!

Kit gave a tremendous performance, coming runner-up in her division. This is an incredible achievement.

Congratulations, Kit! We are extremely proud of your demonstrated skills and determination.

Get ready to show your team colours tomorrow, Wednesday 2 September!

Students are invited to wear their favourite AFL, NRL, soccer, basketball or netball colours — or simply come dressed in something colourful!

👏SCHOOL SUPPORT RECOGNITION WEEK👏

This week we recognise and celebrate our amazing school support staff at Barooga Public School — and we honestly have the absolute best!

Our support staff bring an incredible range of skills to our school. They provide individual support to students, showing patience, empathy and understanding, particularly when working with our students who required additional support.

They play an important role in supporting learning through intervention programs, classroom support and targeted learning, while also being incredibly adaptable — stepping into the office, supporting excursions, helping in classrooms or simply jumping in wherever they are needed.

So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt right across our school.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a skilled, caring and adaptable team supporting our students, staff and families every day.
