YEAR 6 TRANSITION INFORMATION NIGHT

Tomorrow night we’re excited to welcome Year 6 students and their families from across our shire to visit Biloela State High School and discover what we have to offer for 2027.

Come along, meet our staff, student leaders and current students, explore our facilities, and learn more about the opportunities available at Bilo High. From academic pathways and extracurricular activities to sport, leadership and community involvement, there’s something for everyone.

Choosing a high school is an important step, and we look forward to sharing what makes our school such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

We can’t wait to meet our future Year 7 students and their families tomorrow night!

RITA’S TAKEOVER – TOMORROW! ☕🍰🌭

Mrs Moretti, Miss Adams and our amazing crew of Interact bakers took over the BSHS Hospitality room today and baked up an absolute storm!

A huge thank you to Miss Lindsay for rolling up her sleeves, jumping behind the mixer and getting stuck in. We also loved having Mrs Chambers join the baking brigade!

After a very big day of mixing, baking, icing and taste-testing (strictly for quality control, of course 😉), we’re excited to share all our goodies with the community tomorrow.

Pop into Rita’s Blue Café from 8:00am–11:30am for a coffee, a slice of something delicious, or a snag on bread. Every purchase helps support the amazing work our Interact students do in the community.

Join the Biloela SHS Interact Club this Sunday as we take over Rita’s Blue Café for the final time!

Come along, grab a coffee, enjoy a slice of cake, and support our students as they raise funds for community projects and service initiatives. It’s a great chance to catch up with friends, support local young people, and enjoy a relaxed Sunday morning.

SCIENCE 🧪

•FROM MISS BRINER•

Our brave staff stepped into the laboratory arena to test their precision, accuracy and nerves in the annual RACI Chemistry Titration Challenge, proving that laboratory skills don’t disappear with age.

Armed with burettes, indicators and questionable confidence, competition to determine the concentration of an unknown solution as accurately as possible.

While our students undertake this challenge, for year level honours and as part of the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute challenge, our staff edition provides a light-hearted opportunity to showcase scientific skills, celebrate curiosity and demonstrate that learning never stops.

Good luck to all - may your endpoints be sharp, your calculations correct and your results worthy of scientific acclaim!
