🌏 Celebrating Culture, Connection & Future Pathways

Congratulations to our Senior First Nations students who represented Everton Park State High School at the UQ EPIC Pathways Program, held at the State Library of Queensland.

Our students joined around 80 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from schools across Brisbane for a day filled with connection and inspiration. They had the opportunity to engage with mentors, build friendships with peers from other schools, and explore exciting future pathways. All while celebrating culture, identity, and community.

We are so proud of our students for embracing this incredible opportunity and representing our school with pride.

🚀 Future Students Experience Possibility Program: Entrepreneurial STEM

For current primary school students in Grades 4–6.

Do you have a curious, creative and innovative young thinker at home?

Everton Park State High School is excited to invite future students to participate in our Experience Possibility Program: Entrepreneurial STEM experience.

This hands-on program gives students the opportunity to explore STEM, innovation, problem-solving and entrepreneurship while experiencing what learning at EPSHS is all about.

Our latest assembly was a chance to celebrate some fantastic student achievements.

🏆 Congratulations to our Sports Age Champions, who were presented with their age-winning trophies.

👏 We also recognised our Zambero Community Award winners, nominated by staff, fellow students and community members for their positive participation and contribution to our school.

🏃‍♀️ Congratulations to the students who represented EP at the Brisbane All Schools Touch Football Competition.

📚✨ Book Week came to life at EP ✨📚

Our first Book Week dress-up day was a vibrant celebration of creativity, community and the joy of reading, shaped by student voice and our SRC.

Students took to the lunchtime runway in imaginative costumes inspired by their favourite books, bringing colour, confidence and creativity to the EP community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a memorable celebration.

Our library has been busy all week with challenges, activities and plenty of opportunities to celebrate books and reading.

Two big activities are still to come:

Tomorrow: Book Week Trivia
Friday: Book Week Dress-Up Day!

Come dressed as your favourite book character on Friday and help us celebrate stories. 📚✨

A quick reminder: costumes must be suitable for school and include:

👟 Full, closed-in shoes
👕 Covered shoulders and upper arms — no singlets
👖 Appropriate coverage and freedom to participate safely

Not dressing up? Students should attend in full school uniform.
