Tribes Adventure Group

Tribes Adventure Group Outdoor adventures that build confidence, connection & belonging. Serving SE QLD & Northern NSW Life and natural resources were sustainable.

For thousands of years, all around the world, society has been operating in tribal groups. People had a sense of identity, had respect for their elders and had an in-depth understanding of how to survive in their natural environment. Each culture had its own stories which spoke of ones' connection to the environment, others' and your responsiblity within it. With emerging technologies and our reli

ance on generated infrastructure those survival skills and our philosophy of how to relate to our natural environment has degraded over time. Resources are now considered finite, and our current direction is considered unsustainable. Yet, we attempt to make a distinction from the past by labelling our actions 'civilised'. Tribes Adventure Group seek to redress this degradation of knowledge and philosophy. We are an outdoor adventure company operating in Northern NSW and QLD that specialises in survival skills training and adventure activities for school, community services and corporate groups. Our unique organisation utilises miltary trained instructors and teachers from a variety of cultural and indigenous backgrounds to facilitate our programs. Our Programs are at the peak of innovation and represent a new, unique approach to community service provision in Australia;

Behind every session, there's a plan. Routes scoped. Risk assessed. Roles confirmed. And then you adapt, because that's what working with real people requires. Prepared people, showing up ready.

Life skills don't look like a worksheet. They look like this. ๐Ÿ‘‡

โ†’ Casting a line: learning patience
โ†’ Planting a tree: pride, responsibility, and connection to country
โ†’ Hands in clay: focus and fine motor control
โ†’ Sharing a meal: communication and connection
โ†’ Pen to paper: reflecting, planning, owning your story

This is what a Tribes session looks like.

There's a word we use a lot. Adventure.

And yes, what we do takes place outdoors. In nature. On trails, around fire, in the dirt.

But if you've ever wondered what Tribes actually does day to day, here's the honest answer:

We help young people and adults build real skills. Cooking, planning, communicating, regulating, contributing. We walk alongside them through the hard stuff. We create space where they can belong, grow, and be known.

The adventure isn't the point. It's the vehicle.
What happens inside it, that's the work.
