Join Mount Alexander Greens on Saturday Aug 29th from 03:00pm, for wine, cheese and discussions with author of ‘Broke”, human rights lawyer, and disability advocate Sam Drummond.

This book is a memoir about downward mobility, disability and growing up in and around Castlemaine. Sam always knew he was starting life on the back foot. When his parents split, Sam, his mother and his brother had to learn to survive in a world not built for single-parent families.

The price is $35, or $20 concession, and includes drinks and nibbles. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vegan snacks will all be available.
The event address in McKenzie Hill will be sent to participants after registration.

You can register using the link in the comments.

Let’s keep Castlemaine local!

Want to show everyone you stand for keeping the Golden Arches out of the centre of our town? Grab our T-shirt!

While the rest of the world runs on Happy Meals, Castlemaine runs on sourdough starters. We prefer our burgers locally sourced, ethically sound, vegan, and wrapped in recycled cardboard.

Castlemaine doesn't need a corporate clown selling us fries as we have an entire community keeping it independent and wonderfully weird.

Greens T-shirts have just landed, but are already selling faster than fast-food menu items at a franchise we won’t name for fear of being shadow-banned.

Everyone wants one because:
* They’re hotter than hot chips.
* Greener than lettuce on a burger.
AND, there’s absolutely no mystery meat involved!

Get yours before the corporate lawyers figure out what we are talking about!
