It was fantastic to recently join Suzanne Donisthorpe on 94.9 MAINfm's The Retronauts to share The Greens plan to bring down the cost of renting and buying a home. 📻🏠

The housing system is broken, but we have a plan to fix it:
🔴 Freeze and cap rent increases
🔴 Double the number of public homes
🔴 Cut stamp duty, saving home buyers $60,000 on the price of an average home

We’ll pay for it by making the big banks and ultra-wealthy property investors pay their fair share. Banks making billions in profit, and investors with more than $5 million in homes they don’t even live in, can afford to pay a bit more so everyone else pays less.
Everyone deserves a safe, secure, and affordable place to call home.
Make housing affordable.

Vote 1 Greens. 💚

Labor is asleep at the wheel.

At the state level, they have betrayed everyday people and left the gate wide open for One Nation.
In Bendigo West, they are not even acting like an opposition, let alone the incumbents.
It's time to replace them so that the progressive people of Victoria get a real say in how our state is run.

I’m proud to announce that I’ve taken the Cheaper Power Pledge from Friends of the Earth Melbourne and Environment Victoria. 💚

Our communities are doing it tough, and part of that is how our power bills are looking. Failure to back a widespread renewables push has resulted in prices being more than they should be. 🏷️

We deserve better, and we can create better. The Victorian Greens want to back access to the cheapest, most reliable power by massively scaling up our renewables infrastructure including publicly owned projects ☀️, ensuring no worker is left behind in the transition 👷🏼, and that Victorians are protected from price shocks 🌏

I know that this vision is possible for Bendigo West and for Victoria. If elected, I will fight to shield Victorians from price shocks by accelerating renewable energy and electrification, reducing our dependence on volatile gas and unreliable coal. I will defend the State Electricity Commission’s place in Victoria’s Constitution, because our energy system must serve the people, not shareholders. ✊🏼

Thank you so much to the incredible Tom Ballard for supporting The Greens campaign for Bendigo West! 🌻💚

Because of your generosity and a room full of amazing people, we raised over $5,000 in net profits! It was a brilliant night packed with laughter, great conversations, and strong community connections.

These much-needed funds will go directly toward increasing Greens visibility across our community, ensuring our message of a fairer, cleaner future reaches every corner of Bendigo West. 📣

Thank you to everyone who came out, pitched in, and made the night such a massive success. Together, we are building something powerful!
