What an incredible opportunity for our students and alumni on Saturday night, performing with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra alongside The Whitlams!

A huge congratulations to current students Lachlan and Brady, and past students Oscar and Nyeisha, who performed alongside Mrs Johansen.
We are so proud to see our musicians representing our school community.
Bravo to all involved on a fantastic performance!

Earlier this term, senior Humanities students Elise, Saanika, Gabby and Annabelle attended Queensland Parliament to take part in the 2026 Legal Studies Youth Parliament.

From delivering speeches in the Chamber to debating important issues like whether the voting age should be lowered to 16 years old, our students showed confidence, teamwork and a real passion for making a difference.

We are incredibly proud of how they represented our school and shared their
ideas for their communities.

Thank you for the 861 non-perishable items donated this week!

At the moment, a Year 7 PCG and a Year 12 PCG are leading the race for the Junior and Senior Pizza Parties. With one final week of donations remaining, it’s still anyone’s game!

Just a final reminder that Week 8 is the final week of the Lifeline Can Appeal and donations can be made every day during PCG next week.

National Chaplaincy Week: 31 May – 6 June 2026

This week, we are celebrating the incredible contributions of school chaplains who play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our students, staff and school community. From running our much-loved Breaky Club, to providing emotional and social support, assisting with educational programs, and cheering on our students at sports events, chaplains are at the heart of so much of what makes our school a caring and connected place.

This term, we are thrilled to welcome Sandy Wood to the CHSHS community as our new Chappy! Sandy has already made a wonderful impact, bringing warmth, compassion and a listening ear to our school. We are so excited to have Sandy on board and can’t wait to see the positive difference she will continue to make in our community.

Let’s take a moment this week to show our appreciation for Sandy and all the amazing chaplains who make such a difference in the lives of students and families across Queensland. 💛
