Need a hand with the 2026 Census?

We've had quite a few people popping into the Library lately with questions about the 2026 Census, so we thought we'd share some helpful information.
The 2026 Census is expected to be completed online, with paper forms only available if you request one.
To complete your Census online, or to request a paper form, you'll first need your Census number.

If you need to get your Census number or would like to request a paper form, you can find all the information here:

If you'd prefer to speak to someone, you can contact the Census Contact Centre on 1800 181 227 for assistance. The Contact Centre can answer questions about the Census, help you obtain your Census number, and assist with requesting a paper form.

If you're still unsure where to start, feel free to drop into the Library next Friday 7th August at 9.30am and Claire can help you.
