Breaking News: The Boss shares her Hidden expertise with K/1Y!

K/1Y leant about how they used to make glass marbles as part of our science unit last week. When they learnt our own Mrs Briggs makes her very own creations using glass, we had to have her come in! We learnt about using a ‘Hot Shop’, ‘Glory Hole’ and different ways of making glass using techniques like glass blowing, glass fusing and lead light. We were so engaged watching clips of Mrs Briggs making items like bowls, baubles, cups, windows and glass spinning decorations. We even were spoilt and got to see some! Thank you Mrs Briggs you made our afternoon.

5/6M’S DEADLY DAY OUT!

What a fantastic day 5/6M had celebrating our Deadly Attendance Party at the Adventure Park.
Students had an absolute blast enjoying all the fun activities, spending time with friends and making some wonderful memories together. To top it all off, everyone enjoyed some delicious Domino’s pizza for lunch!

INFANTS ILUMINATING ✨✨

What a fantastic way to finish the week! A huge thank you to 1M and Miss Jeffries for hosting today's Infants Assembly with their street vibe dance battle theme. The students shone brightly as they shared their learning and enthusiasm, bringing plenty of energy and smiles to the audience.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients. We are so proud of your hard work, positive attitude and commitment to learning. Your achievements are a wonderful reflection of the effort you put into school each day.

A very special congratulations goes to our May Star of the Month recipient. This award recognises a student who consistently demonstrates our school values and strives to be their very best. Well done on this outstanding achievement!

Soccer Success

Rain, hail or shine- the boys were ready. Despite slippery conditions and plenty of mud, the boys demonstrated excellent teamwork. Sharp passing, determined defence and relentless effort saw the boys score plenty of goals to secure the win. Special mention to Mal, who spent the game proving that not all heroes wear capes- some wear goalie gloves and stop absolutely everything that comes their way!

A fantastic effort from a team that didn’t let a “little” rain dampen their spirits.

CWA Superstars!

Last week Poppy, Ava, River, Dale, Arabella and Cleo represented our school at the District CWA Pulic Speaking. We are so proud of these students for representing their school at district level and speaking with such confidence and courage. Public speaking takes preparation and determination, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves for stepping up and giving it your best.

🦋 HARRY HAS HATCHED 🦋

3/4G have been watching closely and waiting patiently over the past few weeks, for Harry the butterfly to hatch out of his chrysalis.

We explored the life cycle of a butterfly and then observed it happen in real life!

After a few days of keeping him moist, we noticed him start to dry out. Next we could see the colour of his wings start to show through the chrysalis.

Over the weekend Harry went home with the gorgeous Jemarli, who was lucky enough to see him hatch, spread his wings and then released him off to live his best life.

Standby for our scientific drawings of Harry the Monarch over the next few days!!
