After a successful Northwest Tour, Year 11 ATAR students started working on their "Salinity Trial" by preparing their pods, planting crop seeds and watering them with different levels of salt in the water. They have to measure the growth of their plants on a weekly basis until the end of the Term 2, when they will produce a personal report.

General students started presenting their "Produce for a Purpose" projects to the class. The project was about setting a crop enterprise where they had $5 million to spend on machinery and inputs, set a calendar of operations, define the staff requirements, and work out a hazard in the workplace and its level of risk.

Following a completely uneventful expedition, the curse of the NWT caught up with us just outside of Moora with a broken belt on the coach.....

A couple of hours later, we have finally hit the road back to Cundy.

ETA 5pm (ish) all going well.

What an adventure!

Huge thanks to Moora Residential College for helping us out and loaning a vehicle to do the Wongan drop offs.

Have we mentioned how great the students have been, enough???!!!

Our NWT journey is nearing the end 😪

The day started with amazing bacon & egg wraps and an early departure for our 11 hour commute from Exmouth to Geraldton!

We enjoyed fish & chips by the foreshore, and set up camp at Geraldton SHS to escape the looming weather front heading our way.

We had our annual camp awards ceremony which was full of laughs, celebrations and thanks.

Have we mentioned how sensational our students have been???!!! 🙏👏👌

We have had a ripper time, but are all keen to sleep in our own beds tomorrow night!

Northwest Tour update!

Today we split into groups with one group doing the beautiful Yardie Creek gorge walk, Turquoise Bay, the pool and exploring Exmouth town site.

The other group ventured to Coral Bay and did the phenomenal Manta Ray snorkelling tour off the Ningaloo coast, seeing rays, sharks, stingrays, turtles, cuttlefish and more!

What a Day! And tomorrow, the groups swap.

What an adventure of a lifetime!
