Happy One-Year Anniversary to our team at Recycle Rewards Depot Goodwood!
It’s often said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but this photo of our incredible SEED team says so much more as we celebrate one year of operating Southern Tasmania’s only Recycle Rewards Depot in Goodwood!
Alongside SEED’s cleaning, gardening, retail, and tagging and testing services, the Recycle Rewards Depot Goodwood has provided people with disability with training and employment opportunities at award wages since opening its doors in July last year.
Over the past 12 months, we have welcomed thousands of customers, recycled and diverted more than 10 million containers from landfill, returned over $1 million in refunds back into the community, and continued SEED’s mission to create employment and training opportunities for people with disability!
We are very grateful to all of the community members, local businesses and groups who support our work at the depot, whether through container drop-offs, joining our Container Collection Service or telling their family and friends about us.
“It has been so great to see customers getting real benefits from the Recycle Rewards scheme by collecting containers and bringing them to our depot,” SEED Depot Manager, Karl said.
“Just as important is what this has created for our team. We are seeing our people with disability gain skills, grow in confidence and move towards open employment, which is what SEED is all about,” he said.
