YEAR 8 DRAMA

Our Year 8 Drama students recently visited Gordonvale State School to perform puppet shows for Prep to Year 2 students. After weeks of rehearsals, students brought stories about sharing and kindness to life, delighting their young audience and gaining valuable experience performing for a real audience. Well done to all involved!

ALL SCHOOLS TOUCH – KRISPY KREME FUNDRAISER

The Gordonvale State High School Gladiators All Schools Opens Mixed Touch Team are once again selling Krispy Kremes to fundraise for the Gold Coast trip. As you can imagine, a team trip to the Gold Coast is an amazing opportunity for students and they would really appreciate your support in subsidizing travel costs.

There will also be an order form available at the office – cash only.
Final orders will need to be in on the 24th July and the distribution date will be the 3rd August. Please contact Kelsie Gammie if you have any questions.

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL - WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE

Heroes & Villains Theme

Our Athletics Carnival is fast approaching, and this year’s theme is Heroes and Villains. Students are encouraged to come dressed in costume to support their house and contribute to the atmosphere of the day.

Hero costume ideas may include well-known NRL players , NBA stars, or popular Disney characters. Students may also choose to represent school favourites or familiar figures.

Villain costume ideas can include recognisable characters such as The Joker or Captain Hook, or Australian-inspired characters. Simple, creative interpretations are encouraged.

Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, and students are reminded to ensure costumes are appropriate, sun-safe, and suitable for participation in athletic events.

We look forward to a fun and spirited day of competition.

PENINSULA CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to our Gordonvale State High School runners who competed at Peninsula Cross Country on Friday 19th of May. Our students ran well with Dominique 14th, Alarna 19th, Jessica and Alyssa 16th while David and Aiden placing 8th were selected as shadows and Jamie placing 4th has made the Peninsula Team.

Well done to our runners and good luck to Jamie at QRSS State Cross Country Championships!
