Welcome to Week 8 of Term 2. Winter is upon us and we have had to make some changes to groups this week. Activities will still be set up on Tuesday and Thursday, fruit will still be served but we will not be able to do group times because of minimal staffing. Sorry for any inconvenience. We were so lucky to have the wonderful team at Happy Habits join us today to share their interactive performance of "Calm Down Kanga".

The audience were encouraged to actively participate in a range of hands-on experiences. Highlights of the session included opportunities for the children to feed the joeys and use stethoscopes to check that they were healthy and well.

The show also taught children and their caregivers strategies to cope with big emotions, such as breathing, giving others space, and getting a cuddle from a safe person.

It was a wonderful experience for our children, and we are grateful to the Happy Habits team for delivering another engaging performance at our CFLC.

The rain didn't stop us from enjoying a winter-themed playgroup. We loved cracking the ice with hammers and playing in the packing beads that looked like snow. Some of us made snowmen and snowflakes. The icy town with its train track was very popular, and the rain didn't stop us from practicing our gross motor skills on an obstacle course we set up inside! Join us next Tuesday for more wintery fun! ❄️☃️⛸️

On Monday 15 June at 11:00am, there will be an AusAlert (emergency alert) test in our area.

📱 You may receive a notification on your phone, tablet, or smart watch.

This alert will:
• Vibrate
• Play a loud siren-like sound for about 10 seconds
• Display a message confirming it is a test

✅ You do not need to do anything.

For community members using a safe phone:
• Please ensure you are in a safe place when the alert sounds, or
