🐾📚 STORY DOGS STARTS TOMORROW! 📚🐾

We are very excited to welcome Adele and her beautiful Story Dog, Peaches, to Springdale Heights Public School! 🧡

Beginning tomorrow, Adele and Peaches will visit us each Monday, giving selected Year 2 students the special opportunity to spend time reading to Peaches in a relaxed and supportive environment.

There’s something pretty wonderful about sharing a good book with a four-legged friend who is always happy to listen! 🐶📖

We can’t wait to welcome Adele and her very special canine friend Peaches to our SHPS community. We have a feeling Mondays just became a whole lot more exciting! 🧡🐾

🌟 What a fun morning! 🌟

Our preschool friends came for a special visit, enjoying story time in our Kindergarten rooms, digging in the sandpit, exploring the big playground and getting stuck into activities with the help of our wonderful Year 5 buddies!

So much fun, learning and making new friends! 🥰

💛 R U OK? Day at Springdale Heights 💛
On Thursday 10 September, we’re encouraging all students and staff to wear yellow or a touch of yellow to recognise R U OK? Day.
As a whole school, we’ll also come together for a Walk & Talk – taking time to connect, have meaningful conversations and remind our students how important it is to check in on their friends and the people around them.
Sometimes a simple “R U OK?” can make a big difference. 💛

🐝🐦🐞 Animal Homes in KG! 🐞🐦🐝

Our KG students have been busy little builders as part of our Science unit this term, Animal Homes! 🌿🔎

We were so lucky to welcome the wonderful Di from Bunnings into our school to help us learn how we can create special spaces to invite animals into our school garden.
Together, we made:
🐝 Bee water stations
🐦 Bird feeders
🐞 Bug hotels

The students loved getting hands-on, exploring how we can care for our local wildlife and provide safe and welcoming homes for animals in our school environment. 🌱❤️
You can find our creations in the school garden, so be sure to take a look with your child and see if you can spot any of our new visitors! 👀🐝🐞
A huge thank you to Bunnings for visiting our school, sharing your knowledge and helping us create these wonderful animal homes. We had a fantastic time learning, creating and connecting with nature! 🌿✨

📚✨ What a Wonderful Book Week Celebration! ✨📚

It was fantastic to see so many children arrive dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing their favourite stories to life with such creativity and excitement.
A very special thank you to all the wonderful parents, families and community members who joined us for the parade. It was great to have Springdale Heights Preschool and Banjora come together and celebrate the joy of the book parade.
The smiles, costumes and enthusiasm made the day truly memorable, and it was clear that everyone had a fabulous time! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who helped make our Book Week celebration such a wonderful success. We love seeing our school community come together to celebrate a love of books, imagination and learning! 🌟

Inclusive Schools Multi-Sport Event 🌟

Our Springdale Heights students showed incredible sportsmanship and inclusivity at today’s Inclusive Schools Multi-Sport Event! 🏅

They had the opportunity to try a bunch of new sports, challenge themselves, and most importantly, make new friends along the way. 🤝

We were especially proud to hear our students being complimented by other schools on their fantastic behaviour. What a wonderful reflection of the values we encourage every day at Springdale Heights!
