Yesterday, 5 members from the Lawrence Fire Brigade were acknowledged for their involvement in an tragic incident that occurred in July 2024 for St Florians Day.
St. Florian’s Day is a time to recognise the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of firefighters and emergency responders who protect our communities every day. It’s a moment to show appreciation and honour those who serve on the front line, both past and present.
The Commissioners Certificate of Commendation was awarded for their efforts after a cane truck had fallen off the Lawrence Ferry into deep water, unfortunately resulting in the fatality of the driver.
Despite the efforts from the below members, Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance & NSW Police, the patient unfortunately did not survive.
