Council wishes to remind residents that extensive stormwater maintenance and inspection works will be undertaken within the Leeton township in September.

The project forms part of Council's ongoing stormwater asset management program and will include heavy cleaning of stormwater pipelines, tree root cutting and removal, robotic cutting of obstructions within pipelines and CCTV inspections of stormwater infrastructure.

🛣️ Location:
Various locations within the Leeton township. Residents may notice specialised vehicles, traffic control measures, and work crews operating in the vicinity of stormwater pits and pipelines.

📆 Duration:
7 - 18 September 2026, weather permitting

🚧 Reason:
To allow contractor Pipe Management Australia to carry out extensive stormwater maintenance and inspection works. These works are being undertaken to improve the condition and performance of Council's stormwater network, identify defects, and assist in the planning of future rehabilitation and replacement works. The inspections will provide valuable information on the condition of underground drainage assets and help Council prioritise maintenance and renewal programs.

Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while these important maintenance works are completed.

☎️ If you require further information, please phone Council on 6953 0911.
