🔥 Thursday Night Training – Mildura CFA 🔥
Last Thursday evening our brigade members, along with some new recruits, came together locally for another valuable training session.
Regular skills maintenance is a vital part of what we do. It ensures our members stay confident and capable when responding to incidents – whether that’s a grassfire, structure fire, road crash rescue, or assisting our community in other emergencies. Training keeps our techniques sharp, equipment familiar, and our responses safe and effective.
Just as important as the practical skills is the team bonding that comes with it. Working together in training builds trust, communication and understanding – so when the pressure is on, we operate as one team.
It’s great to see new members getting involved and learning from experienced firefighters. Everyone starts somewhere, and every training night strengthens our brigade.
If you’ve ever thought about joining as a volunteer, now’s a great time to reach out to us. We’re always looking for community-minded people who want to make a difference.
Stay safe, Mildura 👨‍🚒🔥

🚒 Come say G’day to your local CFA tomorrow! 🔥
The Mildura CFA will be at the Sunraysia Farmers & Makers Market tomorrow (Saturday) from 8am to 12pm at Jaycee Park, Hugh King Drive, Mildura.
Bring the family down — we’ll have our miniature fire truck on display (perfect for the kids and great photo opportunities!) and show bags to take home. 🎁👩‍🚒
We’re also on the lookout for new volunteers to join our friendly, easy-going team. If you’ve ever been interested in helping your community, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive crew, come over, have a chat, and find out how you can get involved!

And just like that the 2023-2024 Competition season has come to a close! Our Mildura Fire Brigade competition running team competed in the 2024 Junior and Senior State Championships hosted in Mooroopna.

Our Junior, Lucy finished off the season running with a combined Echuca/Mildura team for the under 17 years. She did a fantastic job competing in her last year within the junior ranks, and had a blast at the Junior State Championships.

Our Seniors ran with strength and determination always putting their best foot forward from hydrant races to the pumper and tanker events. They shared lots of laughs and had fun throughout the weekend. Top 3 highlights for the weekend being, Lucy and Katrina's Female Y coupling for 2 competitors where they came 3rd. The Annual Torchlight procession. And Lucy Competing in the Female Victoria East vs West Event. Whereby the west side WON!! 🌟🌟
As always we would like to thank Jess our Photographer, Jack and Ben our Bus drivers, Geraldine our Official and the Echuca Fire Brigade for our combined Junior team.

Videos to follow.

We cant wait to see everyone back on the track next season. #99 🔴⚪️
