Officers from Mildura charged a man following an incident in Mildura this morning.

It's alleged the man was in the CBD area when he was acting aggressively and threatening members of the public around 8.15am.

Police allege the man also spat on numerous shop windows.

Officers quickly responded and arrested the 45-year-old South Australian man.

He was charged with:
• affray
• make threats to kill (x2)
• common law assault (x2)
• resist police officer
• behave in offensive manner in a public place

He will appear before Mildura Magistrates’ Court today.

On the 24th of August 2026, at around 2:30pm, a person and vehicle have attended a service station in the Nyah area and left without paying for $105 worth of fuel.

Police believe the person depicted may be able to assist with the investigation.

The vehicle may be in the Swan Hill or Mildura area.

On this day, one year ago, two of our colleagues were tragically killed in the line of duty.

Today, and every day, we remember Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart and the tragedy that occurred in Porepunkah on 26 August 2025.

We thank everyone for their support and solidarity on this difficult day.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman in relation to a fatal collision in Mildura on 24 March.

A 34-year-old Red Cliffs woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, fail to give way and careless driving.

She has been bailed to appear at the Mildura Magistrates’ Court today.

The charges relate to a collision between a silver Holden and a truck at the intersection of San Mateo Avenue and Twentieth Street just before 9am.

The passenger of the Holden, a 62-year-old Red Cliffs woman, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.
