We are going to visit the Naracoorte Nature Park Tuesday afternoon as part of our LTC Multicultural playgroup.
We will meet at the Moore street entrance near the swim lake, go for a short stroll collecting things on our way. We will have a look at our found objects, have a play then a snack and story.
I will provide afternoon tea.

If you would like to join us please register your interest.

This is a great chance for our multicultural families to find out how nature play links to early language and numeracy learning.

If you are in Naracoorte and thinking about going to playgroup, all ages is in the morning between 9-11 and baby playgroup in the afternoon 1:30-2:30.

This week we will make cards for someone special for Father’s Day. Playgroup is for everyone, even dads.

We have a focus on following the child’s lead during play, talking with children about what they are doing and noticing. This assists in language development, numeracy concepts and connection.

A supported playgroup is a great place to start if you haven’t yet ventured out to the busier programs.

Baby playgroup is a calm, welcoming space to connect with your baby and other families in the area.

We are alongside the toy library at Naracoorte Primary School. Park in the visitor carpark.

We have been making big bubbles together at playgroup in Lucindale.

Not only have they brought wonder and joy, but bubble play is also great for numeracy.

When we talk about the bubbles size, shape, speed and height we are talking about mathematics with children.

This term we will be exploring the sticky tape and gloopy glue! Great for little fingers and plenty of opportunities to talk together about position, shape and colour.

These skills can take lots of time and persistence to develop, give children just enough help so that they can do it for themselves. Celebrate when they don’t give up.

LTC playgroup is at Naracoorte Primary School Tuesdays 9-11am.
Our program is flexible and child-led so you can arrive whenever suits you.
