Due to high winds overnight, Mount Kaputar National Park is temporarily closed while crews clean up fallen branches and limbs across the road.

Walk of the Month – Narrabri Lake Loop 👣

A firm favourite with locals and home to the Narrabri parkrun every Saturday, the West Lake Walk is the perfect place to get outdoors. This gentle 2.9km loop winds its way around the lake, taking you behind the Rugby Club beneath swaying willow trees before passing the rookery, where birdwatchers can spot an abundance of local birdlife.

Whether you're after a morning stroll, an afternoon jog or simply a chance to slow down, West Lake is always full of colour, movement and nature. It's an easy escape right in the heart of Narrabri.
