A community-based not-for-profit support service for people in need of assistance in our local communities, with respite options for carers. Serving the Villages of Nimbin, The Channon/Dunoon, Cawongla and all surrounding communities within approx 30km of Nimbin. NACRS receives core funding from the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) with contributions from service users and community fund
-raising activities. We also provide Home and Community Care for Home Care Packages managed by Care Connect and Trilogy Care, carers via Carer Gateway and people leaving hospital with a Compack package in place. All services require participants to be registered with MyAgedCare, assessed by the Aged Care Assessment team and have referrals or a package for particular services

Australian First Nations people aged 50+ years,
Home and Community Support: our qualified and experienced care workers can assist with a variety of tasks of daily living and activities, including accessing community and carer respite. Enquire to find out more about our range of social options in Nimbin, Koonorigan, Cawongla, Blue Knob, plus twice monthly bus outings. Social Bus Outings relax and enjoy visiting special places throughout our beautiful region in good company. Pick up at Nimbin, Dunoon, the Channon & Koonorigan, arranged with a support worker. $20 plus you buy lunch & refreshments. Booking essential, 2nd & 4th Tues of the month, 9am-4pm approx. Nimbin Seniors Free Computer & Internet use: Mon-Fri 10am to 2pm. Device Advice appointments every Weds morning for issues with phones/tablets/laptops, call to book. A small fee is always requested towards CHSP services. Let us know if you are experiencing financial hardship. Home Care Packages for older people NACRS work with HCP approved providers to deliver services of your choice. If you require an HCP we can assist you with referral to the Aged Care Assessment Team. Direct Client Services NACRS can deliver individualised support to people 18+ years old. Fees Schedule available on request. Carer Support: We can provide in-home carer respite and information on additional respite options (regular one-to-one, centre-based, short-term residential and emergency) to give carers a break. Referrals to other services: we can help you find out about other services that can assist you eg. HART Services for medical appointments, Home Care Package approved providers, MyAgedCare, Carer Gateway, local Community Nurses, and othersService Availability: Availability of any of NACRS services is dependent on referral to MyAged Care and our funding and staff capacity at the time. All NACRS Support Workers are qualified into a minimum Cert III in aged, disability or individual support and all have relevant certifications including criminal history checks and current First Aid Philosophy of Nimbin Aged Care and Respite Services Respecting the rights of people to:
