Congratulations, Sabina for winning our 100 Squares fundraiser! That's $200 cold hard cash, straight in the hand. :) Thanks so much to everyone who bought a square, your support helps us to provide support to our community. Due to a loss of significant funding earlier this year, we are more reliant than ever on donations.

We would love some feedback about this fundraiser- do you prefer a cash prize or a hamper/gift voucher for a local business? We've been suggested to increase the price and prize, and run a couple of different squares simultaneously ($2 tickets for a $50 cash prize, $5 tickets for $200 cash prize $50 for $2000 prize etc). Any and all feedback is welcome and valued. :)

NNIC will be closed from 12pm on the 20th of August to enable our staff to attend a strategic planning meeting. Centrelink will still be available for the whole day.

The fabulous Jolene is here at NNIC Wednesday 12th and Friday 14th to answer all your census questions! Her role is to help ensure those who aren't homed also have a voice in the census through a short form.

Also a quick PSA about the census- this data helps us get services in Nimbin! We use census data in pretty much every grant application we submit at NNIC. Same goes for most of the other orgs here in town. There is no point complaining about Nimbin always missing out on services if we are going to continually underrepresent ourselves. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT WHEN CONSIDERING THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE PROPOSED RENTENTION DAMS! Census data will help shape how many lives will be impacted by these proposed dams.

Please don't bin your census, please lend your voice to our community to advocate for better outcomes for our beautiful town.

Congratulations, Viola on winning our July raffle! Thanks to all who bought a ticket, we are so grateful.

We’ll be moving onto a different fundraising strategy, something that one of our amazing service users suggested! Watch this space.

We are so grateful to have such amazing volunteers! Please join us in wishing Bob a happy birthday! Yesterday he came in on his birthday to make his famous veggie soup. What a legend! Thanks Bob, happy birthday!
