Come along and read with Larryn and cheer on Luna Roo and her team FC Outback in a thrilling face-off against Bush United.

Join Larryn at Port Pirie Public Library at 11:15am Wednesday, 27th May 2026 for National Simultaneous Storytime.

Little ones will love the story of the titanic clash between FC Outback and Bush United in "Luna Roo the kangaroo baller" by Adam Jackson, Adrian Lloyd and Jake A. Minton.

Luna is the young, new captain of FC Outback. Can she overcome her nerves and the doubts of the fans to lead her plucky team of Cassowary, Crocodile, Dingo, Echidna, Wombat and keeper Koala against the powerful Bush United team of Brown and Red-Bellied Black Snakes, Quoll, Platypus and their goalie, Huntsman Spider.

Come along and join the rest of Australia in cheering these teams on!

South Australia's History Festival celebrates history for all South Australians.
The Port Pirie Library is taking part in this year's festival.

Honouring the Past: Stories Written in Our Streets and Stones.

Explore the origins of the Cemetery, notable burials, it's role in preserving our shared heritage.

Discover the stories behind local streets named in honour of fallen soldiers, and others who made an impact.

The display is on for the month of May. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Sundays 1pm-4pm. Everyone is welcome.

History Festival booklets are also available to see what other events are on around the state.
