Major Air-Conditioning Upgrade Approved for Roma Cultural Centre

Maranoa Regional Council has endorsed a major upgrade to the air-conditioning system at the Roma Cultural Centre - delivering a long-awaited improvement to comfort, reliability and year-round usability for one of the region’s premier venues.

Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Chair for Facilities & Airports said the move reflects Council’s commitment to listening to the community and delivering improved facilities.

“The Cultural Centre is one of our premier assets, and this upgrade is well overdue,” Cr O’Neil said.

Portfolio Chair for Economic Development & Events, Cr Hancock, said the upgrade will directly benefit local events and the region’s visitor economy.

“This is great news for event organisers, performers and community groups,” Cr Hancock said.
