🍩 Donuts & Smiles at the Bus Stops! 🚌

Newburg Borough Council members and Mayor Logan will be out tomorrow morning at the borough bus stops, handing out donuts and smiles to our students as they head off to school!

We’ll be there for both bus routes, so keep an eye out for us!

We hope everyone is enjoying the start of a wonderful school year!

The Borough is seeking dedicated residents to fill two (2) open seats on the Zoning Hearing Board.

The Zoning Hearing Board is responsible for hearing and deciding certain zoning matters, including requests for variances, special exceptions, and appeals related to the Borough's zoning ordinance.

Requirements:
✔ Must be a Borough resident for at least one (1) year
✔ Must be a registered voter
✔ Appointed position
✔ May not hold any other Borough office

This is an excellent opportunity to serve your community and play an important role in local government.

🚨 Important Notice About School Tax Bills

We have identified an issue that caused incorrect ownership names to appear on some School District Real Estate Tax Bills mailed on July 1, caused by a recent computer system update.

Fewer than 1% of the county's 105,000 properties are estimated to be affected, and our staff is working to correct the issue as quickly as possible, with all updates expected to be completed by the end of July.

If your tax bill lists the incorrect owner name, please contact the Cumberland County Assessment Office:

Please do not contact your local tax collector.

This does NOT affect:
✔️ Parcel number
✔️ Assessed value
✔️ School tax calculation
✔️ Payment deadlines

An incorrect ownership name does not change the tax obligation. Property owners remain responsible for paying their taxes by the deadlines listed on the original tax bill.
