National Volunteer Week ❤️💛

This week we celebrate and thank all of the incredible volunteers who make Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club such a special club and community.

From our patrolling members, competitors, boaties, board and ski members, Silver Salties, trainers, officials, age managers, water safety crews, coaches, committee members, BBQ crews, parents and supporters, thank you for the countless hours you dedicate both on and off the beach.

Every patrol, training session, carnival, nippers day, fundraiser and club event is only possible because of our volunteers. Whether you’re out in the surf, mentoring younger members, officiating events, helping behind the scenes or simply always putting your hand up to help, your contribution does not go unnoticed.

Volunteering at Woopi is about more than surf lifesaving. It’s about community, friendships, leadership, personal growth and creating opportunities for people of all ages to be involved in something meaningful.

If you’ve ever thought about joining our club, now is the perfect time! There are so many ways to get involved, whether through patrolling, competition, board and ski, surf boats, Silver Salties, officiating, water safety, nippers or supporting behind the scenes.

Woopi has had another great ocean ski paddle on a perfect Sunday with Athletes that have perfect Mothers on Mother’s Day. 🥰

Everyone had a fun time on our double skis which are used as a coaching tool when we do these long ocean paddles.

A massive thank you to Sawtell SLSC for hosting us and providing lunch for the athletes.

We love to see and encourage the strong friendship with the other clubs and Sawtell paddlers during the combining our training sessions
❤️🤍 🤎

Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club was represented at the CTO Forum by Glynis and Shari.

The forum introduced surf clubs to the updated Bronze Medallion course, including changes to the Assessing and Training app and other new initiatives.

Shari was delighted to win a prize during one of the forum quizzes.

Glynis was also invited to speak about the idea of involving some of our older members in patrols, which was very warmly received by attendees.

The new President of Surf Life Saving NSW was in attendance, and Glynis was fortunate enough to have a brief chat with her.

Overall, the forum provided a wonderful opportunity for our amazing club to network with larger clubs, exchange ideas, and learn more about future directions within surf lifesaving.
