اجتمعت سعادة المهندسة منى علي الهاشمي، رئيس مجلس إدارة هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات، مع السيد أندرو كفالسيث الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Beyon ، والسيد ميثم عبد الله الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة بتلكو، والشيخ بدر بن راشد آل خليفة، الرئيس تنفيذي للاتصال والاستدامة في شركة Beyon، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك ودعم تطور قطاع الاتصالات في مملكة البحرين، إلى جانب مناقشة مستجدات القطاع وأبرز التوجهات المستقبلية في مجالات الاتصال والتقنيات الرقمية.كما تناول الاجتماع أهمية تبني رؤية استراتيجية مشتركة واستباقية لمستقبل قطاع الاتصالات في المملكة، وتعزيز جاهزية البحرين لمواكبة التحولات التكنولوجية المتسارعة، بما يضمن بناء بنية تحتية رقمية مرنة ومستدامة وقادرة على تلبية احتياجات المستقبل. وتم التأكيد على أهمية تكامل جهود الهيئة والقطاع الخاص في دفع الابتكار، وتشجيع الاستثمار، وخلق بيئة داعمة للتقنيات والخدمات الرقمية الجديدة، بما يعزز تنافسية مملكة البحرين ويدعم طموحاتها في بناء اقتصاد رقمي متقدم ويعزز مكانتها كمركز إقليمي للاتصالات والتكنولوجيا.Eng. Muna Ali Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Board of Directors, met with Andrew Kvålseth, Chief Executive Officer, Beyon, and Mr. Maitham Abdulla, Chief Executive Officer, Batelco by Beyon, and Sh. Bader bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer. to discuss opportunities for further collaboration and support the continued development of Bahrain’s telecommunications sector, as well as key sector developments and emerging trends in connectivity and digital technologies.The meeting also highlighted the importance of adopting a shared, forward-looking strategic vision for the future of Bahrain’s telecommunications sector and strengthening the Kingdom’s readiness to anticipate and respond to rapid technological transformation. Discussions focused on the importance of building resilient and sustainable digital infrastructure capable of meeting future needs, while fostering innovation, encouraging investment, and creating an enabling environment for emerging technologies and digital services. The meeting underscored the importance of close collaboration between the TRA and industry in shaping a future-ready telecommunications ecosystem that strengthens Bahrain’s competitiveness, supports its ambitions for an advanced digital economy, and reinforces its position as a regional hub for telecommunications and technology
