Squeezing in those last little bits of summer at Baddeck waterfront! ☀️🌊

A big thank you to the Baddeck Lions Club for once again keeping the ferry running and offering swim lessons on Kidston Island. These programs are such a wonderful part of summer in our community, and we’re so grateful for all the time and effort that goes into making them happen. ❤️

And don’t forget — Kidston Island is still open! If you’re looking for a little more summer adventure, the island has a lovely walking trail to explore. Please use the trail at your own discretion and take care on the paths and around the island.

Looking for transportation to the island so you can explore on your own? Check out the Adventure Centre at Inverary Resort on Baddeck Bay for kayak and paddleboard rentals. 🛶🌊

Get ready, Baddeck — it’s time to light up the harbour on Saturday, September 5, at the 4th Annual Parade of Lights — an unforgettable evening of glowing boats, summer magic, and waterfront fun! 🚤⛵️🛥️

✨ Starts at sunset (around 7:40 PM).
✨ Open to all sail & power boats — deck them out and join the fun!
✨ Rain date: Sunday, September 6.

Whether you're cruising the harbour or watching from the shoreline, it's always a great event!

There’s a certain magic to Baddeck that’s hard to put into words — but from above, you can see it.

These aerial views, captured during annual FestiVille Baddeck, show the village in ALL its summer glory. While the festivities unfold along Chebucto Street, drawing people together in the heart of the village, it’s the waterfront that quietly anchors everything.
