Teamwork on the Waterfront! 🌊🛠️

Today is a big day for our community - the new Baddeck Waterfront Boardwalk is coming to life! With the help of Baddeck Marine’s brand-new 30-ton crane, the stairs are officially going in, bringing us one step closer to a space where residents and visitors can stroll along the new boardwalk and enjoy the scenic views of Baddeck from a whole new perspective.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality! 🙌

After a year away at their “Big Baddeck Retreat,” Alexander Graham and Mabel Bell have officially returned to Baddeck Waterfront just in time for summer! ☀️

With renovations to new waterfront boardwalk nearly complete, the beloved pair decided the time was right to head back to their familiar perch overlooking the water and across to their home on “The Point.”

Passing a few familiar landmarks along the way, they arrived safely and settled into their new surroundings this afternoon — no doubt happy to once again be watching over the waterfront and greeting locals and visitors alike.

Welcome home, Alec and Mabel! ❤️

Spring is waking up along the Baddeck waterfront.🌿⚓️

Lobster boats are back on the water and the final touches are going into the new boardwalk - preparing for landscaping and installation of the stairs that will lead right down to the lake.

A mix of tradition and new beginnings, all in one view. 🌊

The crew is back — all hands on deck! 🔨🌊

There’s lots happening behind the scenes as we keep building momentum on the Baddeck Waterfront boardwalk.

We’re especially excited to see the stairs installed soon — it’s one of those finishing touches that will really bring everything together!

And with boats beginning to return to the harbour, the timing couldn’t be better. There’s nothing like that first glimpse of the season to remind us how close we are to welcoming everyone back. ❤️

Visiting Baddeck Waterfront and feeling the pull to get out on the water? We get it — it’s hard to resist.

Luckily, you don’t have to go far! Amoeba Tours depart right from our waterfront wharf, offering a relaxing cruise on the beautiful Bras d’Or Lake. Step aboard the double-decker vessel and enjoy stunning 360° views, open-air and enclosed seating, and a guided cruise filled with stories about the history, culture, and wildlife of the area.

Keep your eyes on the shoreline - you might even spot bald eagles soaring overhead! 🦅

Looking for something extra special? Sunset cruises often feature live local musicians, making for an unforgettable Cape Breton evening on the water. 🎶

It’s almost Spring, which means work will soon begin again very soon and we’re closer than ever to reopening our waterfront boardwalk! 🌷🌊

We can’t wait to see everyone strolling along the water again and enjoying one of Baddeck’s favorite views. Stay tuned as we put the final touches together over the next few months — the countdown is on!
