The Baddeck Waterfront Boardwalk is entering its final stages of construction and the transformation is really starting to take shape. 🤩

New site furniture is arriving, landscaping is underway, and what was once a construction zone is becoming a welcoming space for residents and visitors to gather, connect and enjoy the beauty of our waterfront.

We’re excited to see this community gathering place come to life and can’t wait to share the finished result with everyone.

Teamwork on the Waterfront! 🌊🛠️

Today is a big day for our community - the new Baddeck Waterfront Boardwalk is coming to life! With the help of Baddeck Marine’s brand-new 30-ton crane, the stairs are officially going in, bringing us one step closer to a space where residents and visitors can stroll along the new boardwalk and enjoy the scenic views of Baddeck from a whole new perspective.

After a year away at their “Big Baddeck Retreat,” Alexander Graham and Mabel Bell have officially returned to Baddeck Waterfront just in time for summer! ☀️

With renovations to new waterfront boardwalk nearly complete, the beloved pair decided the time was right to head back to their familiar perch overlooking the water and across to their home on “The Point.”

Passing a few familiar landmarks along the way, they arrived safely and settled into their new surroundings this afternoon — no doubt happy to once again be watching over the waterfront and greeting locals and visitors alike.
