Banff Public Library Banff Public Library is a member of the Marigold Library System & The Regional Automation Consortium

Library membership is free for all residents of the town of Banff and Improvement District No. 9 (ID9) - the area outside of the town of Banff but within Banff National Park, including Lake Louise and Saskatchewan River Crossing. Non-residents may obtain a membership for a non-refundable annual fee of $70.00. Your library card allows you to borrow physical materials and access online resources. A

library card is not required to attend library programs or to use the public computers, Wi-Fi, or any materials within the library. Printing, copying, and scanning services are also available. Black and white printing costs $0.25/page, colour printing costs $0.50/page, and scanning is free. Twenty-five library items may be borrowed at a time, including books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, and CDs. All loan periods are set to 3 weeks with the exception of holiday-themed DVDs which can be borrowed for 7 days.

💧☀️Welcome to Summer Reading Club Programming - Week 9☀️💧

SRC Week 9 has come to an end. We got fizzy with bath bombs, and finished the Summer Reading Club with sweetness, making our own candy sushi.

During the summer, we welcomed children of all ages to our programs, exploring many different ways of how to 'Dive In' to reading, learning, and fun. Children were excited about the programs, saying this was "one of the best summers ever!" Woohoo!

We're sad to be finishing the 2026 , however at the same time, we've had so much fun this year! We can't wait to see what we will do next year with SRC. Thank you everyone for coming to SRC this summer, and we hope to see you in 2027!!

Our summer reading programs have finished for the season! Thank you everyone who participated in TD Summer Reading Club and Read Wild, we've made a lot of great memories thanks to great programs and books. We have some great programming coming for this autumn and winter (Reading Dragons will be back in October!), which we'll be sharing soon.

💧☀️Welcome to Summer Reading Club Programming - Week 8☀️💧

SRC Week 8 was one of the biggest weeks ever! We welcomed children of all ages to our programs, exploring treasure with own treasure map, and get sticky with slime.

Thank you for joining us for out weekly programs. Summer Reading Club has so many more coming up until this weekend. Join us on Wednesday, August 26, for making Bath Bomb. Then on Saturday, we are making candy sushi where you can enjoy treats!

We're finishing TD Summer Reading Club this week, and we've had an absolute blast exploring SRC's main theme of Dive In this summer! This week, we're back home and exploring our own awesome waterways. From our wet start to spring, to the gorgeous summer rivers, we've got a lot of water to enjoy here in Banff.
