This is what a northern summer is supposed to look like.

Tony and his Dad, uncle, brothers, and nephews took a bike trip out to Bella Coola last week, and honestly, it’s the kind of thing that reminds us why we love summer in the north. Mountains, open road, good company, and that warm weather and long daylight hours that only show up for a few short months a year.

We know how quick this window closes, so when the boots come off and the bikes come out, we take it and goooo...

However you’re spending your summer days, we hope you are actually enjoying them.

This truck spends most of its time getting equipment and people to job sites in places most companies don’t want to go. This week, it’s parked somewhere a little quieter.

Remote is the name and it’s the work we do. But it’s also where our people choose to spend their time off. Mountains, open road, a break before the next project.

We are intentional about this... a crew that gets time to recharge comes back sharper and safer.

You don’t need to become an expert in remote logistics to get a building up. That’s what we’re for.

This Masset project is complete!

Back in March we shared this one mid-build: three refurbished sea cans, being converted into a doctor’s office for the Old Massett Village Council.

Here’s what it looks like now.

Proud of this crew for working on this project that’s going to serve this community for years to come. This is the kind of work we set do: practical, built right, and built for the people who need it.

As we head into the long weekend, we’re grateful for projects like this one and the team that makes them happen.

Get outside, enjoy the sun, and enjoy the time off. You’ve earned it.

From control rooms to crew housing.
Whatever the site needs, we’ve got it covered.

This is what a modular build day looks like: units craned into place and ready for use in a fraction of the time a conventional build would take.
Less time on site means less mess, less mud, and less downtime for the crews already working there.

That’s the real advantage of prefab. The heavy lifting happens off-site, long before the crane shows up. By the time a unit lands, it’s already 90% there.

Board and batten. Corrugated metal. A colour scheme that matches the building next door instead of standing out from it.

We build the exterior to fit the site, not the other way around because we believe that a building should feel like it belongs where it lands, not like it just got dropped there.

Full insulation retrofit underway on the Hiellen Cabins in Masset.

Our crew is on site giving these cabins a full insulation retrofit from the studs out, so they’re built to actually perform through all of the northern coastal seasons, not just get by until the next repair.

This kind of work really matters in these remote areas, getting the details and timing right so communities can count on these buildings for years to come.
