Brantford Public Library Two branches, two kiosks, and a large digital collection available for free for Brantford, Brant, Six Nations, and Cambridge. www.brantfordlibrary.ca

Library memberships are free for all residents of Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations - along with anyone who works in Brantford. Members get access to:

The Youth Writer's Contest Deadline is October 26! Have you submitted your masterpiece? 📝

We've teamed up with Kiwanis Club of Brantford for the Youth Writer's Contest! This year, the possibilities are endless as your original, unpublished work of fiction can be about anything!

With over $2500 in prizes, you don't want to miss this! Prizes are given to First, Second, and Third place.

Eligibility:
You must be a student in grades 4-12.
Attending school in Brantford, County of Brant or Six Nations.

One week left for submissions!

This year's theme is Loud for Libraries. We're highlighting the essential role of public libraries in their communities. Public Library Week is about create space for reflection, conversation, and visible, collective support for libraries and the communities they serve.

Advocacy can take many forms, and every voice plays a role in shaping strong, responsive library services. While libraries continue to offer space for reading, learning, and reflection, we are also vibrant community hubs for dialogue, creativity, connection, and civic participation.

October 17: Family Flicks, Witches (2020). 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Main Branch. All Ages. Rated PG. Caregivers are asked to use their discretion as soon films may not be suitable for younger children.

October 21: Teen Horror Movie Night, Scream (1996). 6:00 PM - 7:45 PM. Main Branch. Ages 13-17. Rated R.

October 24: No Mess Pumpkin Decorating. 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Shellard Lane Branch. Ages 6-12.

October 26: Halloween Slime Party. 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Main Branch. Ages 6-12.

October 26-31: Ghost Scavenger Hunt. During Branch Hours. St. Paul Branch. All ages.

Placing a new hold? Simply select Shellard Lane Branch as your preferred pick-up location through your online Library account.

Already have an item on hold? If you'd like to change the pick-up location to Shellard Lane Branch, please call or visit the Library for staff assistance (519-756-2220).
