Saturday, we will be hosting our rescheduled annual Drive in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Firefighters from coast to coast to coast have been enduring partners and supporters of the cause.

Last year, with your help, we raised an incredible $10,684, and we're hoping to break our record again this weekend!

Come find us from 10am-2pm walking the medians at the intersection of Tollgate Rd & Brookdale Ave and at the entrance of our local Your Independent Grocer. 📍

Our crews are going through fire ground survival training this week at Station 2. 🚨

Our in house trainers are training our firefighters to perform life-saving actions if they become lost, disoriented, injured, low on air, or trapped.

Thanks to the IAFF Canada - AIP and Ontario's Fire Fighters, we’re able to deliver a high quality program with the adequate equipment.

This week we are replicating the following scenarios:

Mayday operations
Entanglement
Low profile
Upper floor emergency egress
Basement floor emergency egress

We’re thankful to be affiliated with organizations who advocate for firefighter safety! 🚒

Today is Firefighters' National Memorial Day in Canada. Observed annually on the second Sunday of September, Firefighters’ National Memorial Day let us recognize the brave firefighters who selflessly risk their lives every day to protect their fellow Canadians.

In Cornwall, four of our members have their names engraved on the memorial wall in Ottawa to honour them for making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. As of this year, there are over 2100 names engraved on the memorial wall in Ottawa.

We must honour them. We must advocate for firefighter safety.

We remember all the firefighters who have lost their lives from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and to everyone who has been impacted since this tragic day. We honour their service every day. Never forget.❤️

Today, we remember fallen firefighter brother Gilles Racine.

After serving the City of Cornwall for almost 32 years, Captain Racine died in the line of duty on September 2nd, 2016.

We will honour and we will remember his sacrifice. 🇨🇦
