#545 - There were 203 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend.

A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested by police on Sunday. He faces numerous charges, including domestic assault, uttering threats, dangerous operation, mischief, flight from peace officer, forcible confinement and arson. The man was held for a bail hearing.

#545 – What an awesome morning at Bikes & Badges! 🚲👮

The Cornwall Police Service was proud to welcome approximately 100 young riders and their families for a morning focused on bicycle safety, confidence-building and community connection.

From bike inspections and helmet fittings to obstacle courses and hands-on safety education, it was great to see so many kids learning important skills while having fun alongside our officers, volunteers and community partners.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We’re also incredibly grateful to our volunteers and sponsors for their continued support:

#545 - There were 55 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.

A 59-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested after allegedly shoplifting from a local business and assaulting a Loss Prevention Officer. The investigation also revealed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

#545 - There were 62 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.

A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested following a police investigation into a fraud complaint. He was charged with fraud, possession of property obtained by crime, laundering proceeds of crime and conspiracy to commit indictable offence. The man was held for a bail hearing.

#545 - As prom and graduation season continues, the Cornwall Police Service would like to thank Victim Services of SDG&A and the Assault and Sexual Abuse Prevention Program at Cornwall Community Hospital for partnering with us to speak with students at St.Joseph's Catholic Secondary and St. Lawrence Secondary School - UCDSB about prom and graduation safety.

Thank you to both schools and our community partners for helping support safe, informed and responsible celebrations for students during this exciting milestone season.

🚨 YOUTH SPACE GRAND OPENING 🚨

#545 - The Cornwall Police Service is proud to support and celebrate the official Grand Opening of the Cornwall Youth Space at Alexander Park this Saturday alongside Social Development Council SDGCA Conseil de développement social.

Three years in the making, this youth-led initiative was created to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive outdoor space for young people in our community. Designed with direct input from local youth, the space encourages connection, recreation and a sense of belonging — a place where youth can gather, unwind and simply be themselves.

#545 - There were 60 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.

A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged following a robbery investigation. It is alleged on May 25, 2026, he attended a Ninth Street East business, brandished an edged weapon and robbed the business.
