CATHEDRAL CAFÉ UPDATE

We know how important Cathedral Café is to the people who rely on it — for meals, practical supports, connection and a welcoming place to be. We also know that its continued closure is difficult and disruptive, and we are sorry for the inconvenience and uncertainty it has caused.

Repairs at Christ’s Church Cathedral continue following the damage that forced us to close the Café. The safety of our clients, staff and volunteers must come first, and we ask for your continued patience as repairs are completed and we work with our partners on plans to safely reopen Cathedral Café. We are monitoring progress closely and will share reopening information as soon as we are able.

While the doors to the Café are temporarily closed, our commitment to the people we serve is not. Donations of food, clothing and other essentials received by St. Matt’s are being shared to support clients during the closure, helping us continue to respond to immediate needs wherever possible.

We are grateful to the Diocese of Niagara, the City of Hamilton, our community partners, donors and everyone who continues to stand with us through this unexpected interruption. Most of all, we thank our clients and community for their patience and understanding. We miss welcoming you to Cathedral Café — and we are working toward the day when we can safely open those doors again.

Thank you for staying with us. We’ll continue to keep you updated.
